Update on the baby

Well... the due date was last Sunday, and we're still a family of three. Quite OK actually, since we have all had a really bad cold the last week or so. We are getting better though, so we'll soon be ready to welcome the little one.

No entry until this weekend...

...and a very annoyed Hugo. The picture is a bit blurry (got to get that new iPhone...) but this is one of the first signs in the neighborhood that the F1 fever is coming to town. They will let people get in the car this weekend, so we'll probably be back armed with a better camera.

Det är F1 feber i stan, och på ett av de lokala köpcentra har de ställt upp en bil som folk ska få fotas i de kommande helgerna. Hugo ville givetvis ge sig in direkt, men vakten sa nej. Då blev Hugo ganska putt... kameran i min telefon är inte riktigt så bra som den borde, så det är väl dags att skaffa en iPhone :-)

Sunday morning at Sentosa

We mastered our strengths and went to Sentosa yesterday to get out of the house. Hugo and Gustaf went on "the Luge" (toboggan without the ice). Cissi, being pregnant, wasn't even allowed to go on the sky-ride. Gaaah! But old people that hardly can walk is fine. Reason was that they couldn't stop the ride for me to get on and off. As if I needed it.

Hugo later explained that he can't say "Luge", he can only say "Rodel" (which is swedish for toboggan). After three rides we headed for an ice-cream break and then went up the Viewing tower (that is now sponsored by local beer Tiger as opposed to former Heineken, we just noticed; about time).

Then we were off, back to "mainland Singapore", and we got some good views of the future casino. It's going to be huge!

Vi var ute på Sentosa i söndags och åkte sommarrodel. På grund av graviditet fick Cissi inte ens åka liften, för "de kunde inte stanna den" så hon skulle kunna gå av. Tjena.
De som åkte rodel fick en stämpel på handen för att visa att man fått 'säkerhetsgenomgången'. Hugo stavade "L-U-G-E, rodel!". Simultantolk kanske när han växer upp?

På vägen hem åkte vi linbanan över kasinobygget. Det kommer bli enormt stort. Många betongbilar var det...

Superheroes

Another birthday party. Hugo found a superhero costume. If you ask him, he'd say that he was Buzz Lightyear (from Pixar's Toy Story), favourite hero of the hour.


The event was Atticus turning 3, and the place was invaded by Superman, Spiderman, a couple of fairies and princesses, and of course a policeman to keep order.

Hugo 3 years old and new pics out

Hugo is turning 3 today and we celebrated with some presents from family and absent friends, cake and singing. He was very quick to blow out the candles this time. I guess he's had enough practice by now.


We've also put the pictures from June on the site. Not plentiful but we'll try better next month.

Imorse firade vi lite 3-årsdag med bara familjen efter helgens stora kalas. Flera paket och kaka med ljus som blåstes ut så fort vi sjungit färdigt. Hugo börjar få koll på födelsedagsrutinerna. Bilderna från juni är uppladdade till bildsidan med kommentarer på engelska.

Språkbyte - language switch

För att fler personer i vår bekantskapskrets ska ha glädje och utbyte av våra små inlägg och uppdateringar har vi bestämt oss för att börja använda engelska som huvudsakligt språk i bloggen. Men vi kommer även ha svenska översättningar av relevant info för er som föredrar svenska. Hör av er med kommentarer!

For the benefit of our non-Swedish speaking friends, we're switching to English in the blog. There will of course be translations to Swedish where needed for those that prefer the language of Vikings.

And no, we won't translate the last four year's worth of blog entries... ;-)
