Adam or Hugo? So, who's who. Mind you, there is an age difference. First picture is at exactly 4 weeks and the second is taken at 5,5 weeks.

New pictures out on the web. Sorry for lack of sorting and commenting but figured it was of more interest to actually get them out already. Gustaf is off to Tokyo for the week, Hugo is sick and Adam has come to a decision that sleeping is not all that interesting anymore although much needed judging by his bad temper, so Cissi is looking forward to quite an interesting week. Wish us luck.

Bilder ute från augusti, men ganska sparsamt vad gäller sorterande och kommenterande. Antog att det var bättre att få ut dem nån gång. Gustaf åker till Tokyo ikväll, Hugo är sjuk och Adam har slutat tycka om att sova, vilket inte gynnar hans humör, så det ser ut som att Cissi får en intressant vecka.

Adam's first month

Today Adam turns one month old, and as expected it's been a bit of a roller coaster for all of us. The first two weeks were focused on getting Adam to start gaining weight, and he passed his birth weight exactly two weeks after his birth. Now he's gaining momentum and has grown 5 cm in three weeks and weighs in at 4.1kg. He's actually outgrowing some of his first sets of clothes...


Gustaf's travels have started again, and last week saw a wonderful three day trip to Sweden. Luckily, Cecilia's mum could come down to Sing-Sing and help out, which was much appreciated, especially by Hugo who received a lot of much needed attention. Next week, it's off to Tokyo for a few days, but this time no family is flying in to help out. We hope everything will work out for the best.

One of the joys of giving birth outside your home country is that you get to tangle with a lot of paperwork to get a passport for your newborn. Here in Singapore it's necessary to get it as fast as possible, since the immigration authority only gives you 42 days from birth to "normalize" your stay, i.e. get the correct permit/visa.

With the new biometric passport rules in Sweden, you need to go to the embassy and have your picture taken in the special machine used for this purpose. Extra simple thing to do with a newborn... Adam was a complete champ though, and sat in Gustaf's lap very still and with open eyes so the picture came out very good. Now we're just waiting for the passport to get processed and sent here.

Första månaden med Adam har passerats, och vi har alla haft en omvälvande tid, inte helt oväntat. I början var det mycket fokus på viktökning, men Adam tog igen sin födelsevikt på tvåveckorsdagen. Nu har han bra fart i maskin, och har växt 5cm de senaste tre veckorna och väger in på 4.1kg. Första kläderna börjar bli för små...

Vi har varit ett par vändor till ambassaden för att ordna pass till Adam så att han kan få uppehållstillstånd (och hela familjen kan resa igen). Numera behöver man fota i ambassadens speciella maskin, vilket inte är det lättaste med en spädis. Gustafs fingrar kommer att hamna även i detta pass, även om Adam var jätteduktig på att titta in i kameran och satt stilla hela tiden.

Gustaf har börjat resa igen och har varit på kortvisit till Sverige då vi hade hjälp av Cissis mamma, tack och lov, men nästa vecka blir eldprovet när Gustaf far till Tokyo utan hjälp här hemma. Vi hoppas på det bästa.
