Happy Halloween

Boo! Adam has got new pyjamas as he is growing quickly (mostly lengthwise but since last week also weightwise). This weekend it's all about Halloween here in Singapore. Not that it's a public holiday or anything but whatever brings people to the shops...


This seems to be the new face of Hugo every time we bring out the camera (tongue out of the left corner of his mouth). We went out for early lunch on Sunday and Gustaf ordered a caffe latte. Along with the coffee came a couple of cookies. Hugo wanted one, not surprisingly.


When all else was eaten Hugo also wanted the other, which Daddy was supposed to have. But there was still some salad on Daddy's plate: -"You don't need to be sad - you can eat salad... " (Hugo reasoning and then quickly putting the second cookie into his mouth).

Korpslingan 59

In early October, I went to Sweden for a week of work. But there was also time for a trip down to the site of our new house. Yes, in case you haven't heard already, we're moving back to Sweden in 2009 and will have a brand new house to move into. It is part of an area development project, so we do not need to manage the construction ourselves, which would be a nightmare from Singapore.

The house is located in Segersäng, which is about 40km south of Stockholm city center. A small village is being built there, with a very picturesque setting in the landscape. The houses have a classic Swedish farm design to them, and the color is of course 'Falu' red which has been the most common color for Swedish farm houses for the past few centuries or so.

Well, right now the house isn't quite done, as you can see in the picture below...

The house itself will be up by mid-January, and the tentative move-in date is the day before Midsummer's Eve (i.e. mid-June). Oh, and the new address will be Korpslingan (Raven Cres) 59.


För de som inte hört det redan, så kommer vi flytta tillbaka till Sverige under nästa år. Så vi har köpt ett hus i Segersäng, ca 4 mil söder om Stockholm nära Nynäshamn. Det är full lantidyll med betande får och faluröda hus. I oktober var jag på jobbresa till Sverige en vecka, och lyckades ta mig lite tid att åka till husbygget. Det är ett helt område som byggs, så vi behöver inte projektleda saker nerifrån Singapore utan mest välja tapeter och dylikt.

Just nu är det bara en bottenplatta (som synes) men i januari reser de huskroppen, och inflyttning ska ske i midsommarveckan enligt plan. Mer info följer... men adressen kommer vara Korpslingan 59. Hepp.

Superheroes... or something similar?

Hugo told us today that when we move to Sweden he's going to be Superman, Daddy will be Batman, Adam Pingu and Mum will be the pirate...! What pirate?
